"Christmas time is here"

Whoo this white stuff is cold on the rear end!

When do I get to use the sled?

I have to say I have been VERY patient waiting for Christmas to roll around this year. 12 months in a year?! Who thought that was a good idea? Anyway, I loved the build up to Christmas. So many fun things to see and do. My brother and I got to experience "snow" for the first time. Well it was man-made snow but it gave the same impression. My brother loved sliding up and down it. Mama said next year we will go see the real stuff up in the mountains!

We also put up lots of Christmas decorations and lights. I loved looking at the lights every night and I would stand at the window and watch them. I also loved the Christmas tree and the process of "undecorating" it. Mama was always telling me to leave the ornaments ON the tree, but really what fun is that? We also walking through Candy Cane Lane and looked at all the lights and decorations, that was fun!

I got to have two Christmases, one with my Boompa and Susan, and one with the rest of my family (Auntie M, Sean, ConCon) How fun is that? I got so many nice presents from everyone. A few of my favorites were the Bop-a-Bozo (which my brother tried to steal from me), my new lego, and an electric guitar. But my absolute favorite present of Christmas was the Pound-a-Peg toy that ConCon got for me. I LOVE IT! I get to hit something over and over again and I don't get into trouble. It doesn't get any better than that!

This was the first Christmas I could really appreciate and I loved it. Now I have to wait till next year....Ugh 12 more months!

Pound-a-Peg: I love it!

November Roundup

Boxes make the BEST toys.

Mmmm ice cream is good!

Well the month of November has been a fun one for me. I got to go to Bonfante Gardens for the first time. I rode a train, watched my brother and mama go on some rides, my brother won me a prize, I ate a big ice cream cone, and I saw my first Praying Mantis! My brother was a little scared of it, but I thought it was cool. I wanted to touch it!

I also got to experience my first real Thanksgiving (last year didn't count, since I couldn't eat any of the food). Our friends Bud and Sandi (and Mae Mae the dog) came up to celebrate with us. I LOVED mama's cranberry relish, I could eat that by the spoonful! Yummy. The turkey and all the other stuff was okay.

Now I get to look forward to Christmas. Yay presents!

Hmmm this train ride better be fun.

Hi bug!

95...Yeah I like that number!

I had my 15 month check-up the other day (although it was a little late!) at the doctor's office. Well its no big surprise, but I am a BIG boy! My weight (29lbs and 2 1/2 ounces) puts me in the 95th percentile. My height (34 1/4 inches) puts me over the 95th percentile. And my head circumference (meaning my big brain ;-) 49 1/2 cm) also puts me in the 95th percentile. It looks like that is my lucky number for now!

My brother better watch out, I am catching up on him in size!

Halloween Spooktacular!

Me and my pumpkin!

Whee! This getting lost in a corn maze is fun!

Well my second Halloween came and went, and yet again I didn't get to experience the fun of trick-or-treating! I really have GOT to stop falling asleep so early, I miss out on all the fun ;-)

Oh well, I still had fun leading up to Halloween. Mama decorated the house inside and out with lots of fun decorations. I loved the bats and spiders hanging in the house. We had lots and lots of pumpkins and gourds in the yard and pumpkin chuckin' is my new favorite sport! Mama carved a nice little pumpkin for me since I am still too little to do it myself.

We walked in a Halloween parade in Carmel and the whole family was in Star Wars theme. Dada made a very imposing Darth Vader, my brother was Captain Rex, Mama was Princess Leia, I was a very adorable Ewok, and the dog was a very reluctant Yoda.

We also had fun out in Carmel Valley going to a pumpkin patch and walking through a corn maze and a hay maze. I didn't like the hay maze very much, too dark and scary!

But I am telling you right here and now: Next year I will be awake and raring to go trick-or-treating with my brother and our friends. I am gonna get me some of that candy!!!

I do NOT like the looks of this maze!

This box full of corn is fun

This one! I want this one!

Who's a cute little Ewok?

Summer Roundup

This is the best (well the funnest way!) to go for a swim.

Okay so I know this post is a little late (it is October!) but I have to give my mama some slack for taking so long. She has a lot to do, especially dealing with me and my brother everyday!

Anyway, I had a very fun-filled Summer this year. I went swimming for the first time in Con Con's pool. I love the water, wheeee! I went to the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, lots of cool things to see there. I met my Grandma for the first time, I liked playing and making faces at her! I went to the beach on a few sunny days. I LOVED playing in the surf, mama is very hopeful that I will be her snorkel-buddy someday. We went to a few car shows, that made dada VERY happy! And we went to the Monterey County Fair, where my brother went on lots of rides.

Whew! That's a lot of stuff for a little dude like me to do, but it was lots of fun. Now I get to look forward to Halloween bwahahaha....

Us boyz hanging out with Grandma.

Yay! I love playing in the sand.

Ahhh that was a refreshing dip!

Real Men Wear Kilts

Me and Dada checking out the sights

I went and checked out my first Highland Games a few weeks ago. I wore my brother's old kilt, which he outgrew, and Ewan wore his new one. Dada, Mama, and my Boompa were dressed up too. I had lots of fun walking around and loved seeing the sheepdogs herd the ducks. Too funny! I wasn't quite sure about the bagpipes but since I didn't scream when they played I guess that means I don't mind them. I know I will have lots more fun there next year, when I can REALLY run around and have fun!

Walking and a Rollin'

I have hit the big milestone of being able to walk! Of course along with that comes the many bumps, bruises, and scrapes. I started to take my first steps in July (Mama was hoping I would walk on her birthday. Ha! I did that weeks before.) And now I am truckin' along and still trying to find my "land legs". I can get pretty far before I lose my balance and fall. Of course I was getting cocky and thought "well heck if I can do this walking thing I MUST be able to do the whole running thing!" Uhhh...wrong. I tried it and failed miserably and in the process skinned my nose. Wowee did that hurt! Now I get quite the looks from people with my "new look". Oh well, I am sure it just the beginning of many many more "boo boos" for me....sorry Mama!
